The Pre-licensing course can be completed in a classroom or via distance learning/virtual class. If you opt for the classroom option, you will receive a MV-278 Prelicensing Certificate of Completion. All courses have the same curriculum, no matter which version you choose. If you are able to successfully complete your course, the provider will report your completion to the DMV immediately and you will not have to present an official certificate when taking the driver's test.
